Increte is available in a wide array of patterns duplicating granite, slate, stone, and brick with a myriad of standard colors. And, the solid beauty and durability of INCRETE makes it a high performance material for high traffic areas. Its elegant look helps create or accentuate any theme or decor.. Non-skid patterns and cool to the touch colors make it the perfect surface for residential and commercial pool decks. Colors and patterns for stamped concrete are often chosen to blend with other areas of the residence. Not only is concrete functional, it lends itself to a wide variety of design options…which can make a dramatic difference in home landscaping plans, as well as enhance property values. Concrete has long been known to give trouble-free service to homeowners. The reason is simple. Concrete is enduring…many driveways last for 30 years and longer without major maintenance. Just as with many high-quality purchases, concrete costs less in the long run. About the processWe recommend that all excavations are compacted in layers when backfilled. We will meet with you and help you decide on a pattern, color and shape that best suits your needs and taste. Once you have made your final decision on the design of the project, we will prepare the job site and form the area in the shape you have chosen. The next step will be to pour the concrete, reinforced with both wire and fiber mesh. The color hardener is then applied followed by the highlight. Then we will stamp the concrete to create texture/pattern you have chosen. Once the concrete is hardened (typically the following day), the control joints will be cut, washed and two coats of sealer will be applied with a non-skid additive. The concrete will be ready for light use within 24 hours and normal use by 48 hours after the sealer. Driveways will require 7 days with no vehicles. Cracking of exterior concrete elements, such as porches, patios, and stairs, is usually due to heaving from frost or nearby tree roots, freeze-thaw cycles, settlement, or a combination of these conditions. Control joints help concrete crack where you want it to. In addition, we use both wire and fiber mesh. Fiber reinforced concrete resists spalding, chipping and hairline cracking better than metal reinforced concrete. Their main purpose is to increase the energy absorption capacity and toughness of the material Caring for your Stamped ConcreteCleaning and sealing stamped and colored concrete should be done on a regular basis just like any other home maintenance. The frequency will depend on how high a traffic area to cars, foot traffic, water, and any chemicals the concrete is exposed to. Resealing is recommended every 2 or 3 years. Reseal your stamped concrete and the color will be as vibrant as the day it was installed . |
